Wednesday already?

Where does the time go?

I've had so many thoughts whirling around in my head these past few days. Not even sure where to start. So I'll save my introspective thoughts for another day and tell you about what's actually happening.

Took a second try at Finleigh's blood test today. This time, we actually had success...I hope. They didn't get anything until the 3rd attempt, but at least we got something. Though the doc told me we needed 3 mls and they only got about 2 1/2. I'm hoping that we don't get a phone call next week to go in again. The blood is for genetic testing. Not sure what it'll tell us, but if there's something wrong, I guess it'll tell us that. It'll be 6 weeks before we get the results for that.

We met with a psychologist yesterday at Willem's school, who tested Willem last month for his cognitive abilities. And it's official...my son is 'gifted'. Especially in language. So, that'll mean he'll qualify for extra funding. So, now the fear is that he'll get bored and start hating school. He loves it right now, but is already telling me how boring learning is. Sigh. We're toying with the idea of putting him into French Immersion or something like that. There's actually a Francophone school here in town that was suggested to us to try to get into. But we checked the website and there's not a lick of English anywhere. This would be way out of my comfort zone as we both only have high school French. Of which, we've forgotten more than we remember. But we'll check it out and see. Perhaps a combination of his IQ and my French heritage would get him in.

Nate wanted to leave his diaper off this morning after he made 'wadu' (water) in the potty. We're getting there. He lasted half the day. For sure before he's 3. FOR SURE!

I'm down to 13 flex points for the week. Not sure why except I've been so hungry and then Brian made a smoothie tonight to the tune of 4 flex points. But I will keep trudging along.

Trudge, trudge, trudge...
