Comfort

When Finleigh had her blood test the other day, it wasn't much fun for her. I don't even think she minds the pricking so much as just being held down and not able to move. Once the ordeal was all over, the tech gave her a sticker. My initial reaction was that she was too young for one, but I let her have it anyways. She clung onto that sticker and immediately stopped crying. She kept looking at it, turning it around and around in her hands. When it was time to go, I didn't have the heart to take it away from her, so I just put her mitten right over it. Here's the scan of it, crinkles and all. Good ole Backpack.

She has it in her hand in these pictures I took this morning, with her crazy morning hair. The colors are off in these pictures, I think our camera is really actually dying. I guess 5 years is a long time for a digital camera?

  1. Omigosh, she's adorable! As a lab tech, I don't enjoy getting blood from kids anymore than they do.
