I'm still here. It's been a busy and kinda rough couple of days. I haven't been at the computer much and when I have been, I haven't felt like writing. I had every intention to, but I didn't. Will sometimes has a lot of trouble with transition and while the transition from school to Christmas break was incredibly easy, the transition back to school has been less successful. This has required some very involved parenting.
And so, here I am...isn't it Monday?
I did weigh in on Monday. My weight was 185.7 lbs. Yes, that's just under 20 pounds from my short lived very lowest.
And now, I suppose, it's time to make some goals. I'm going to borrow from my bloggy friend Natalie who waged a very successful campaign leading up to Christmas to lose 20 pounds in 20 weeks. She rocked it and is looking and feeling fantastic. At the height of my success in WW's, I was averaging just over a 2 lbs loss per week. So my goals were safe at about 1.5 lbs per week. I'm going give myself a little more room in that as I try to find a balance between dieting and really adopting an approach of healthfulness. It's 23 weeks until the last week of school. My goal is to lose 1 pound per week between now and then. That would put me to 163. Frustrating that it will take me 6 months to get to 5 lbs below were I was 2 months ago...but it's not really about the number, per say. It's just about learning how to keep this weight off for good.
I'm also joining Colleen, who needs to lose 9 lbs in 9 weeks. Okay, bloggy friends, let's get'er done!!!
Here's to 23 in 23!
yeah for a WI post!!!

I'm proud of you too Amanda. You can totally do this. I'd love to do the 20 in 20 with you - that would put me 5 pounds above my end goal. First I'll see how the 9 in 9 goes!

Have a good day - you can do it!
What a great way to set a goal.
ReplyDeleteThose adjustments back to school were always hard for my son. Now that he's a teen he just gets really grumpy for the first few days back.
