I'm glad that Valentine's Day has never been a big deal for me and Brian. Our very first Valentine's Day together, I opted to volunteer with a youth group instead of going on a date with him. Since then, if we celebrate, we celebrate on the 15th. We were engaged on the 15th, actually. 11 years ago tomorrow. Gosh, we were so young. I am, however, still crazy in love with him and am grateful for every day I have with him.
All that to say, this is and always will be, my daughter's day. Even though we celebrated yesterday. Here are some pictures of our little girl.
This is more a picture of heads...my sons' and my sweet little niece who will be 2 next month.
Kids always want to be involved in the gift opening.
Finny grabbing at her cake before I could stop her. Needless to say, that was her piece.
Happy Birthday, my sweet little girl!
Happy Birthday Finn!!

Happy Birthday Fin!
ReplyDeleteThe cake you made looks fabulous!
We have always celebrated Valentines late too. We usually just have a nice dinner at home on Vday and then I get clearance flowers and we go to dinner in a restaurant that is not overcrowded with 'holiday' diners!
Valentines Day is my brother in laws birthday too. I'd say it is at least a better birthday holiday than mine on Christmas.
Happy Birthday to Finleigh!! She is so adorable. I also love the cake you made. I've been trying to think of what I'll make for Elan's bday coming up here. You are so talented at cakes! Wanna do mine? :o)
