After our time camping with so many people, it seemed really quiet and almost lonely. It was just the 5 of us. It was so quiet (minus Finn's outbursts of course and the boys' bickering), we weren't really sure what to do with ourselves. It took a bit of time to adjust. It was kinda weird.
Then we got to see my cousin Kerry and her family. We had a great visit. I got to meet her man and her 1 year old son.

Kerry and her son Vaughn. |
I hadn't met Tim or Vaughn yet, though I felt like I knew them (just a little bit) thanks to Facebook and Kerry's blog. I was glad to meet them in person. Tim's a great guy and I'm happy to have him in the family.

Vaughn is an incredibly good natured little guy. He was all smiles as he adventured around exploring his new surroundings.
Gosh, so squishable. |
Kerry and Finn. |
It was a hot, hot, HOT day when they came to visit us at the campsite where we were camping. So after eating lunch in the blazing heat - with no shade - we ducked into the motorhome and turned on the AC. I wasn't on the ball enough though, because in the middle of our visit, Finleigh suddenly threw up. We're learning that Miss Finn doesn't handle heat well. Poor Brian got it all over himself. And poor Kerry and Tim had to smell it. But they were super good natured about it and Finleigh recovered quickly.
Cousins. We wanted to get a group shot, but my kids would rather have their eyes gouged out than pose for pictures, so we settled for one of just us. |
It was a great visit. Nice to catch up with my cousin, who I don't see enough. But really, I don't see many of my loved ones enough. Such is life, I suppose. But I'm getting off topic. Thanks Tim and Kerry for the visit. I'm glad you came.
Yay! I was hoping you would blog about our visit. Gosh Amanda, it was so very wonderful to see you! Your family is a delight and it was nice to get to know them a bit better as well.
