House... Part 1

In 12 years of marriage, this is the first time that Brian and I have lived in a stand alone house... aside from the little cabin we rented our first full summer together.  But that's a whole other story.

The house is 30 years old and it's safe to say that we will be making some changes.  We've not fully unpacked.  We're waiting on some furniture.  We're in a general disarray.  But here are a few pics to give you a bit of an idea of where we're at right now.

Welcome to our home.

Come on in, there's plenty of room for your boots.

This is our living room that's really a piano room or computer room or play room.  We still have some unpacking to do.

This is the kitchen.  It's all unpacked and I'm feeling pretty comfortable in it.  Looking forward to getting some serious baking going on in there.  Soon.  Very soon.

This is where we eat.  We're hoping one day to knock that wall on the left that connects with the kitchen and make it one big kitchen/eating area.  Yes, and perhaps change that light fixture.  Oh, and get a new dining room table.  The one you see here is the foldable kind.

More pictures to follow.  But at least you all know that I have a place to eat.

  5. Finally... now you have some more room, eh? And a separate play/computer/panio room? One that is actually being used? Are you kidding me? Excellent! I'm thrilled that it all worked out for you!

  7. That's the important part-- a place to cook and bake and a place to eat. When shall I start my trek your way? ;-)

  8. looks awesome! i love that you have a dining room, but understand the desire to one day knock out the wall. here we have a skinny little 'galley kitchen' and our table is on the far side of the sitting room, which the kitchen is off of. i look forward to eating in the same room we cook in some day!
