One year ago, I was actually in Abbotsford (but living here) visiting Brian's family and my Vancouver friends. Most of them hadn't met Finleigh yet, so I hopped a plane and headed down. This was pre-WW and I was definitely feeling flabby and large. And I had a bad haircut. A few weeks later would be our first specialist appointment for Finleigh. Up until that point, we'd thought that she just had really noisy breathing. In a few weeks we would start thickening her formula and a couple more months after that, we would start tube feeding. Oh yes, and Brian got his very first tattoo this month a year ago too.
Two Years Ago
We had been living with my parents since September and had just bought our current home. We were getting ready to move into our new home and put down true roots in Fort McMurray. I gave Natey his first haircut in June two years ago. He was so darn cute...it was a hard thing to do.
Three Years Ago
Three years ago, we were adjusting to life with 2 children, as Nate was just a couple weeks old. We were living in Surrey, BC and I just LOVED the townhouse we lived in (mostly cuz it was new)...even if it was a bit small. Brian was laid off from his job in Vancouver around this time, so we were deciding what to do with our future.
We finally got Will potty trained.
And Willem got to meet Thomas the Tank Engine!
Five Years Ago
We did not yet have a digital camera. But I found a couple on the computer anyways. We were already in the Surrey townhouse...that I loved. I was still on maternity leave and Will was about 9 months old. We took Will on his first camping trip in June 5 years ago.
Here's a little family photo from around that time at a park a few blocks away from our house.
Ten Years Ago
I was staying with my parents in Fort McMurray, working for the summer (having just completed my 3rd year at Canadian Bible College) and getting ready to get married in 2 months! That summer I had 2 jobs. First I co-ran a children's program through the Salvation Army. Second I worked in the electronics section of the Real Canadian Superstore. It was a busy summer, but of course all I could think about was my fiance, way far away in Hope, BC.
Here are a couple wedding photos. They were only taken 9 years, 10 months ago...but they'll have to do.
And, so that's that. I'd go further back, but I really don't have any pictures except for a few crappy year book pictures and such...so it just wouldn't be much fun. Anyhow, you're now caught up on my adult years.
I'm not gonna name anyone to do this, but if you want to...I'd love to see what you were up to. Just let me know that you did it.
